Description:
The discrimination and cruelty that many transgender people are exposed to from a young age can have an impact on their mental health, raising the risk of suicide. Combating the hurdles thrown at the transgender community requires uplifting students so they can overcome the challenges they face and achieve their dreams.
This scholarship aims to honor Cesar’s life by supporting transgender students who are pursuing higher education despite the obstacles they are facing.
Any transgender high school or undergraduate student with financial need may apply for this scholarship.
